To transform this heritage villa to suit a contemporary 21st century lifestyle.

The challenge

Located in a beautiful old Mt Eden street lined with villas, this much loved home was out of level and out of square. We needed to protect the existing floors, work around the heritage chimney and keep our design solutions old school to match the age of the house. We built a brand new bathroom (carefully keeping the original style in place), extended with a new open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, re-wired throughout and replaced all the joinery. Lastly, we built a new deck to enhance the living space.
